Minimalista Mama

Only what you need for your baby. Really. (OK – and some fantastic things you don’t that are pretty cool.)

Bells and Whistles. Or Just Bells.

In deference to my – and therefore my child’s – sanity, I swore we would keep electronic and noise-making toys to a minimum. We’ve done pretty well so far. No drum sets for Christmas, please!

We do have instruments though, namely bells and a xylophone and a piano. OK, so the piano’s mainly for us. But the bells are all hers. Astrid fell for some colorful Hohner bells at her playgroup when she was about six months old. All the kids did. Lots of tiny competition for the bells. It’s the holidays: have some bells!

Hohner Kids Cage Bell, $9.95 at Amazon. Or the 4-piece set for $16.50
