Minimalista Mama

Only what you need for your baby. Really. (OK – and some fantastic things you don’t that are pretty cool.)

Babo Botanicals Detangling Shampoo

When Astrid’s toddler curls came in, we were up against detangling her super fine, perfect but, let’s face it, slightly matted post-bath hair. The shampoo/body wash combo from Burt’s Bees that we’d been using up until then wasn’t doing the job. I didn’t want her to get discouraged by hair maintenance  just after she got her hair, so I went looking for a better option, preferably one without a lot of chemicals and that didn’t cost as much as Mustela.

Well, I scored on the first count at least when I found Babo Botanicals Berry Primrose at Giggle. No, it’s not the cheapest, but not only does it keep curls curly and untangled, it smells unholy good. Un. Holy.

Now I’m stuck. I just love it so much. And it has a bunny on it. Come on: I’m not made of stone.

Babo Botanicals Berry Primrose Smooth Detangling Shampoo, $16 at BaboBotanicals.com, $12 at Drugstore.com

(Their detangling spray helps too on especially bad hair days.)
